Have you been scanned?
This is not an attack, this is not a malicious scan. Read below for more information.
InternetMap.org is a private Internet research project run by Darknet ehf. Click here for our contact details.
Our probes scan the Internet in the IPv4 & IPv6 space to identify running services on common or less common ports. The range of ports is pretty broad and includes mainstream services such as SSH, HTTP(S), SMTP, IMAP, telnet, FTP etc but may also cover specialized services or ICS.
The research objectives are manifold and include:
As part of the discovery process, our probes typically conduct a full three-way handshake over TCP and attempt banner grabbing. ICMP and UDP probes may also originate from our systems. Our process is designed to be as unintrusive as possible, however we realize that large-scale scanning may trigger your defenses and possibly result in false alerts, for which we apologize in advance.
It is important to keep in mind that our scans are automated, but the results may be reviewed by a human being. In very specific circumstances, we may attempt contact with resource owner/user when a vulnerability is identified, or in case of exposure of sensitive information (eg. leak of PII).
